Installing a new kitchen faucet requires the water valve to be shut off and the supply lines disconnected. From there, the old faucet is removed and the new faucet is put into position. The faucet line is fed through holes in the sink and connected to the water supply lines. Once connections are ensured, the water is turned back on and the new faucet checked for any leaks.
