When replacing a pressure reducing valve (PRV), the first step is to shut off the water supply. Then, the valve itself is located, likely somewhere near the meter. In many cases, it will be necessary for our team to cut away some of the old pipe before replacing the valve. New pipe is fitted to the old pipe, along with the new valve. The new valve is soldered in, and the water is turned back on.

1. Step 1

   Turn off water supply and locate PRV.

2. Step 2

   Cut away old pipe and PRV.

3. Step 3

   Place new PRV and solder it.

4. Step 4

   Turn water supply back on and ensure everything works properly.
