To start the valve replacement process, we’ll turn off the water supply, and then remove the old trim. The old valve can then be removed, and a new valve installed. There are various ways of attaching the new valve, some involving soldering and others that are solder-free; the method simply depends on the kind of connection you have. After the new valve is assembled, the bathroom trim can be reconstructed.

1. Step 1

   Remove bathroom tub & shower trim.

2. Step 2

   Remove the old valve.

3. Step 3

   Install new valve, using either soldering or solder-free methods.

4. Step 4

   With new valve section assembled, restore bathroom trim and turn on the main water line.
